Responsibilities : Protect winter habitat at least three on the ground fence removal and/or alteration projects that will result in approximately 2 miles of improved pronghorn movement. 2) Through targeted ally and constituency outreach, continue to grow park wildlife constituency in region through outreach and organizing events and meetings.This is a one-year contractual position beginning on date of hire and terminating on or before 12 months from that date.Essential Functions % of TimeProtect essential habitat through targeted outreach and 50%completion of at least 3 on the ground habitat improvement projects.Continue to develop park wildlife constituency through 25%Yellowstone area outreach, education and organizing.Other park wildlife-related priorities, as assigned. 25%See attached Scope of Work for more detailed description of position functions.Total 100%OtherRespect employees regardless of their position or background. Requirements :Minimum Work Schedule35 hours per week, 900 am-500 pmMinimum Scope of Position Significant interaction with local community stakeholders and leaders as well as state and federal agency personnel and NPCA staff.Minimum Competencies, Skills, Education, and TraitsMinimum 2 years professional experience or equivalent experience Bachelor degree in related field preferredCommunity outreach and organizing skills working with diverse interests highly desiredKnowledge and experience with wildlife-focused campaigns or issuesFamiliarity with significant issues in Yellowstone regionExperience in use of new outreach/media such as web design, online outreach and advocacy, use of blogs, etc. are a plus.Positive attitudeIndependent, self starterAbility to work well with minimal supervision.
